Laura Day DelCotto is a founding Member and Managing Member of DelCotto Law Group PLLC (“DLG”), a boutique law practice that focuses its work on bankruptcy and litigation. DLG has offices in Lexington, Danville and Somerset, Kentucky, and is consistently named one of the “Best Law Firms” in Lexington by U.S. News & World Report.

Laura Day’s practice involves corporate and individual chapter 11 representations, including debtor-in-possession, committees, creditors, asset purchasers, and all bankruptcy-related contested and adversary proceedings. She also handles out of court workouts and restructurings, and litigation focusing on a broad range of associated issues including preferential and fraudulent conveyances, breach of fiduciary duties, lender liability, guarantor defenses, lien enforcement, foreclosure and director and officer liability.

Laura Day is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, an invitation-only honorary association awarded to those showing the highest levels of professionalism and service. She is certified in Business Bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification, is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and is named in Kentucky Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America, including being named as the Best Lawyer 2011 Lawyer of the Year for Lexington, Kentucky in the Bankruptcy, Insolvency, and Debtor/Creditor practice area, and a “Top 25” female lawyer, and “Top 50” attorney in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
